6. Oracle Database 12c and Exadata
The objective of any new Oracle version release is to improve manageability, performance, and efficiency. As data growth rapidly increases, maintaining and lowering storage costs also becomes a key objective. This chapter covers many key features that address these customer requirements. Many features illustrated in this chapter are Exadata, but it covers non-Exadata-specific features as well. The generic, non-Exadata-specific features covered, we believe, are ones that provide huge benefits for Exadata customers.
