Creating the In-Memory Adaptive Data Mart
One of the major features of the Exalytics platform is what is termed the “In-Memory Adaptive Data Mart.” This feature uses the in-memory TimesTen database engine to create a summary-level data mart that over time, adapts to users’ query patterns to store cached, aggregated data that should make their queries run faster. Used in conjunction with a database engine such as Oracle Database to store your detail-level data, this feature is designed to provide a fast cache layer hosted on your Exalytics server that makes users’ dashboards run faster.
