Understanding Fusion Middleware Logging
The simplest, and sometimes most effective, way of analyzing a Fusion Middleware environment’s health and failure conditions consists of examining the environment’s log files. To do so, however, requires a good understanding of the Fusion Middleware logging infrastructure—that is, the way log files are generated—as well as the format of the content of the log files. There are two categories of log files within a Fusion Middleware environment: log files generated by WebLogic Server, and log files generated directly by Fusion Middleware layered components.
