As stated in the previous section, WebLogic Server VE already provides a tool that allows for the migration of an existing, non-VE–based domain into an OVM template that uses WebLogic Server VE. This tool has to be executed on every managed server of the domain to create the associated VE templates for registration and instantiation within an OVM server. Furthermore, if the entire stack was to be virtualized, all components not supported by WebLogic Server VE—such as the Oracle HTTP server at the Web Tier layer, which is not a Java process—would need to be mapped to their own operating system-based virtual machines.
