In Chapter 2, you learned what sharding is, as well as two sharding methods: user-defined sharding and composite sharding. Oracle has introduced a new feature called Raft Replication in Oracle 23c. In this chapter, we will cover this new feature, and we will demonstrate a few scenarios using the Raft Replication feature in sharding.
