You want to build reports that have good performance. But what is good performance? It is a relative term. Report performance varies for every report, installation, and design. It depends on the load on the servers, other processes going on, and other software running during the day. It also depends on the people running the reports. What is acceptable for one person may not be acceptable for another. Fifteen seconds may seem fast for one person, and unbearable for another. So how do you define “good”?
