Using Hierarchical Tree Items in Oracle’s Developer 6i

A hierarchical tree is a form item that displays data in the form of a tree. Each node or branch of the tree has the ability to expand or collapse. This item is similar to Developer 6i’s Object Navigator or Windows Explorer, and is very useful when the user has a great deal of related data to search through to find or drill-down to the proper lower level data. Examples of the type of data that can be displayed in this manner are department and employees or a machine and its associated parts lists.
