Working with Mobile Backends
Understanding mobile backends is critical for successfully deploying and managing mobile services. Going back to the window analogy from the previous chapter, we can think of a mobile backend as the frame of a window that organizes the panes (how I described REST APIs) into a single, cohesive view. But it is more than just APIs. A mobile backend also brings together all the various assets and artifacts being independently created within MCS into a common instance to support a specific set of mobile apps, or mobile use cases.
