Embedded R Execution
The embedded R execution feature of Oracle R Enterprise allows you to run R scripts on the Oracle Database server, which in turn allows you to use the vast array of analytic features of the R language to analyze and process your data. With embedded R execution, the Oracle Database will spawn one or more R processes. The number of R processes spawned depends on the type of ORE function you use and the parameter settings. These ORE functions allow you to process significantly greater volumes of data, in a shorter period of time and in parallel, compared to the traditional method of using R on your client machine.
