This part of the book describes some security features that might be appropriate in certain types of environments. It discusses the use of the Oracle Security Server (supplied with the basic Oracle RDBMS), which uses encryption and certificates of authority to protect your data. It suggests a number of strategies for protecting your site from the risks posed by Internet and World Wide Web connections. And it looks briefly at several extra-cost Oracle products you may wish to purchase for enhanced security.
