Chapter 3 introduced the SOA Suite and explained how it implements an SCA container according to the Service-Component Architecture. We develop composite applications in JDeveloper that we can then deploy to and run in the SOA Suite. These applications typically expose public Web Services that clients can invoke. Internally they consist of service components that do the actual work. SOA Suite supports various types of service components, including Mediator, Java (Spring), Human Task, and Business Rule.
