It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

SQLTXPLAIN is a great tool designed to help with SQL tuning problems, but its effectiveness is limited when the database is a read-only Data Guard physical standby database. Read only databases like a Data Guard physical standby databases cannot be written to by utilities such as SQLTXPLAIN.
