The Oracle VM Virtual Machine Lifecycle

A virtual machine built with Oracle VM has a number of states that it can exist in. For the purpose of this chapter, I will add an additional state: nonexistent. This state will be used as the starting point and ending point of the lifecycle and describes a state of nothingness, from which the virtual machine is created and where it is returned to after its removal from the system and release of the system resources it utilizes.
