Performing a Production Redeployment
You must ensure that both the original version that you're retiring and the new version that's replacing it have a version number. This is very important because you can't perform a side-by-side deployment if either of the applications is nonversioned. Once you version the applications, you'll be able to deploy both versions simultaneously until you switch the old version with the new one. You can simultaneous deploy only two versions of an application.
