Oracle9i Features
The Oracle9i family of database products introduced new features such as partitioned tables and indexes (the ability to break each table and index into pieces by a key value and locate across many disk drives). Oracle9i also contains enhancements to previous versions of Oracle such as a new partitioning feature known as list partitioning, enhancements to read-consistency known as Deja-view, additional buffer pools, multiple block sizes, and major enhancements to Log Miner.
