Using the Log Miner Interface
Log Miner uses the DBMS_LOGMNR package through the SQL*Plus interface to the database. One of the new Oracle9i enhancements is a GUI interface.
NOTE
As of this writing, the Oracle9i Log Miner GUI Interface was not available. The examples in this chapter will work with an Oracle9i database.
There are some items that need to be set up prior to using Log Miner. You need an operating-system directory (such as c:\LogMinerOutput) to hold the log miner output files and you need to create a dictionary file that will contain the redo logs being examined.
