A.1 Models of organizations
An organization’s life and internal processes in modern companies and corporations could be very difficult to understand at first glance. Companies are often in constant change: mergers and acquisitions are the norm. This results in the creation of an aura of mystique and power around those who drive the changes. These are often managers who have developed some abilities learning from experience and acting on intuition. They are familiar with the working environment and know from the past how to manage situations around them. They know the context, the non-written rules, habits and routines, and from that experience they became management practitioners.
