23. Using Preview

• Getting acquainted with the purpose and scope of Preview

As its name implies, the Preview application is used primarily for looking at PDF documents. Preview can view most other graphic formats, such as JPG, TIF, PNG, and so on. Additionally, Preview can view Word files, Excel files, Pages files, and other types of files. If you are like most people, you will be surprised to learn that Preview can do much more than simply view a file.
