Setting Up Calendar Service
You use the Server app to get calendar service up and running. Depending on what you want to do with your calendar service, several configuration tasks are involved, though not necessarily in this order:
Start Calendar Server
Restrict access
Enable e-mail invitations
Enable SSL encryption
Add locations and resources
Turn on push notification
Enable web calendars
I describe how to do these tasks in the following sections.
Starting calendar service and restricting access
After getting your network ready, just a few mouse clicks get Calendar Server running:
1. In the Server app, click the calendar icon.
2. Click the big switch to the On position (see Figure 11-1).
