Exposé Yourself to Mission Control’s Spaces
Two of my favorite tools in Leopard and Snow Leopard were Exposé and Spaces, a positively peachy pair of utilities that went together like peanut butter and chocolate. They went together so well, in fact, that Apple teamed them up in their very own System Preferences pane: the eponymous Exposé & Spaces System Preferences pane.
You won’t find the Exposé & Spaces System Preferences pane in Lion or Mountain Lion, but rest assured that Exposé and Spaces are alive and well in both versions, having survived the name change to Mission Control.
Figure 7-10 shows the Mission Control System Preferences pane (the pane formerly known as Exposé & Spaces) in all its glory.

The painless Mission Control pane
The top part of the pane contains four check boxes: Show Dashboard as a Space; Automatically Rearrange Spaces Based on Most Recent Use; When Switching to an Application, Switch to a Space with Open Windows for the Application; and Group Windows By Application.
