One of the hallmarks of a traditional computer operating system is support for multiple user accounts. UNIX operating systems, like OS X, have a long history of providing such services. Apple has made many improvements to the UNIX functionality, such as advanced user-management features and streamlined administration tools, all with traditional Apple ease of use.
In this lesson, you will explore the technologies that allow individuals to log in and use a Mac. You will also learn how to create and manage multiple user accounts in OS X.
