12The Future I Envision When I Dream

In March 2023, my mother passed away unexpectedly due to the collapse of the healthcare system in the United States. She suffered from negligence and did not receive the appropriate care based on her medical history and risk tolerance. This tragedy was exacerbated by the spread of a deadly fungus in hospitals.

My goal for the words you have read in this book is for them to help create a better future where people like my mother, a Holocaust survivor, can live longer and enjoy time with their loved ones—to create a future for my daughter, and everyone's children, that is sustainable and works for the betterment of all people.

However, the current state of the world deeply concerns me. We live in a polarized society that is divided on issues such as globalization and a shared vision for the future. This division may lead to two disconnected worlds, one led by the United States and its economic engine, and the other led by China with its unique philosophy and vision. It is impossible to predict the future with certainty, but by examining trends, we can gain some insight into how the world may look for future generations.

Education

In the coming years, technology will continue to advance rapidly, with significant developments in artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, biotech, and longevity. These technologies will play a much greater role in our lives than ever before.
