Investigating Information Poverty at the Micro Level
Abstract
This penultimate chapter explores information poverty at the micro level and provides evidence of the impact of library interventions. It presents the findings from two focus groups, the first with non-library users in a job club in a community centre in a socially deprived area, and the second with library users participating in a job club in partnership with the Department of Employment and Learning. In doing this, the chapter examines information poverty indicators and looks at the impact of Libraries NI's strategic policies on individuals.
