I have a confession: I hate the phrase “work-life balance.”
Don’t get me wrong. Maintaining a harmonious relationship between my work and my personal life sounds lovely and is definitely something worth aspiring to. But I’m just not sure how achievable it is.
When I consider the various aspects of my life, I don’t see “personal” and “professional” on opposite sides of a seesaw that I’m attempting to balance effortlessly.
