We are not doomed to follow the path of entitlement, however. Why? Because in my experience working with thousands of employees and leaders in hundreds of companies over the past two decades, I have found that the vast majority of these people want to engage and want to contribute, and feel much better about themselves when they have the opportunity to do so. I have also found that, despite what many people believe, most of them have the capacity to do so.
