Introduction

In recent years, cable providers or Multiple Systems Operators (MSOs) have made a substantial investment in upgrading their existing infrastructure into a bidirectional Hybrid Fiber Coaxial (HFC) system capable of providing reliable high-speed Internet access and digital cable television.
