When is a Painting Finished?
In a chapter on “completion” we need to consider when the painting process is complete. When is a painting finished? There is no one definitive answer to this question. My goal in this chapter is not to give you rules for deciding when your painting is finished and how to finish it, but instead to encourage you to explore taking your painting beyond the computer and into a final physical artwork that you, or your client, will be proud to display.
