Chapter 6. Memory Manager

Some hardware devices and operating systems have memory to burn. It is hardly an understatement to say that this is not true of the Palm OS and its devices (nor will it be true anytime soon). Memory is important because of its scarcity, so you better understand how to use it carefully and cleverly if you are going to write good Palm programs. Teaching you about Palm OS memory and how to use it is the goal of this chapter. Remembering these lessons, alas, will probably only occur when you have been burned a few times from memory shortage or limitations in your code.
