Although the Vibrance and Saturation options in the Basic panel can help make broad color changes to an image, I prefer to use the HSL panel when making more subtle changes. In the panel, Lightroom provides Hue, Saturation, and Luminance sliders so that each can be manipulated individually, and the color wheel is divided into eight different color ranges with independent controls. This control enables me to, for example, decrease the saturation in only the yellows in an image or darken the reds or shift the greens toward aqua, all independently of the other color ranges in my image.
