Technique is different than style. Techniques are like gloves; anyone can buy and use them. Style is like a fingerprint—unique to the individual.
Vignetting, Grain, and Dehaze are all found under the Effects panel and can all be used to add a range of subtle (or obvious) looks to an image to help reinforce the story that you’re telling. For example, vignettes can range from adding a slightly darker or lighter edge effect to solid black or white edges around the frame. Grain can help soften noisy images or create a bolder, more traditional film look. Dehaze can either cut through such atmospheric effects as smog, making an image appear clearer, or help create a soft, ethereal stylistic effect.
