Define Endpoint Types and Operations
API design affects not only the structure of request and response messages, which we covered in Chapter 4, “Pattern Language Introduction.” It is equally—or even more—important to position the API endpoints and their operations within the architecture of the distributed system under construction (the terms endpoints and operations were introduced in the API domain model in Chapter 1, “Application Programming Interface (API) Fundamentals”).
