One definition of a signal integrity problem might seem almost trivial. It is when the signal loses some of its integrity. It is tempting to think of signal integrity problems as being those associated with high-speed or high-frequency circuits, but we can have significant signal integrity problems at relatively low frequencies.
• If you have a 60-Hz audio hum in your home entertainment system, you have a signal integrity issue.
• If you are traveling in your car in the countryside and the radio is filled with noise when you pass under a power line, you have a signal integrity problem. This is an interesting case. ...
