Chapter 23. Designing Forms in LiveCycle Designer ES

In Chapter 22 we provided a general overview of the LiveCycle Designer ES workspace and tried to give you an overview of various menu commands, palettes, and tools used to create forms. Coming up in Chapter 24 we talk about setting up libraries of objects, and in Chapter 25 we go into depth on formatting fields and objects. Think of these three chapters as reference chapters and bookmark them for reviewing the many commands and tools you have at your disposal for creating forms in Designer.

If you're reading this book in a linear fashion, you have some basics down after reviewing Chapter 22 and now you can look at creating some forms. Rather than provide you with all the foundations first, we want to mix it up a little and take you on a journey to quickly get into creating forms in Designer. By the time you get to Chapters 24 and 25, we hope that delving into more detail on adding form fields and objects to a page will make more sense after creating some forms by working through some steps in this chapter.

In this chapter we get to the basics of form design and look at examples for creating real-world forms by walking you through steps in using some of the tools, palettes, and menu commands.
