Appendix: Peak Performance CultureThe Five Metrics of Organizational Excellence
The Peak Performance Culture Assessment is meant to provide guidance into an examination of the current state of the organization's culture, provoke thought into a desired future state that improves the organization, and identify action items (initiatives, strategies, tasks, tactics, etc.) that will move the organization from where it is today to where we want it to be in the future.
The assessment is best administered with a leadership team. Due to its comprehensive nature, it is appropriate to complete the evaluation in multiple settings. The most common methodology for completing the assessment is to utilize five separate meetings, each focusing on one of the individual metrics: horizontal alignment, vertical alignment, leadership ideology, customer experience, and employee experience. This allows for organizations to work on each metric before moving on to the next. While peak performance is not a strictly linear concept, organizations that are horizontally aligned are more likely to achieve more effective vertical alignment. Solid vertical alignment promotes better leadership ideology, which promotes enhanced customer and employee experiences.
