Enterprise Goes Peer
It seems likely that much enterprise functionality will migrate to p2p applications over time, as the technologies mature and are offered by multiple sources. While client-server model infrastructure will hardly disappear, at least some “mission critical” applications are destined to become peer distributed.
Analysts suggest that some server-based functionality should be decentralized sooner rather than later, and it’s important for enterprise to figure out which they are in any given environment and what kind of p2p implementation to use.
