As you work with PeopleSoft applications, you will notice the product’s emphasis on configuration. ChartField configuration is an excellent example of the PeopleSoft development team’s efforts to provide configuration opportunities. Besides reducing the number of modifications, configuration reduces the application users’ dependence on their development team.
