Announcing the Survey Process
Surveys are rarely effective if they are distributed unannounced. Employees are usually busy. Unless they get some information to the contrary, it’s tempting for them to regard online surveys as just another e-mail or interruption. Ideally, the survey should be introduced in the weeks before distribution through a variety of coordinated communications vehicles, including posters, in-person announcements from supervisors, blast e-mails, and articles in the newsletter.
