Creativity requires accessing the right brain through divergent thinking activities before using the left brain for the convergent activities—evaluating, prioritizing, decision making, and action planning—that are more familiar to us in the working world, those that were covered in the last chapter. This truth bears repeating. And so, by this point in the book, you have no doubt heard evidence of it a number of times, and perhaps you have used some of the perfect phrases from earlier chapters to challenge yourself and others toward greater divergence and thus greater creativity.
