Projects vs. Operations

Projects differ from operations in several important ways. Operations—sometimes referred to as “doing business as usual”—is the normal way an organization conducts its daily business. Most organizations have a way to conduct business that was created specifically to do the work they are expected to do; however, while some are very repetitive, others—while repetitive—may allow customization to a specific situation or customer need. Let’s look at some examples:
