Most employees fall in the middle of the bell curve of productivity. You’ll have some low performers, and some high performers, and the bulk will be “average.” In modern times of budget cuts and being forced to do more with less, many leaders are keen to take average performers and turn them all into superstars. Competitive workers strive to do better and better, whether they measure their performance against each other or seek to improve on their own work in the past.
