Technology As an Enabler: How Does Technology Support the Goals and Purposes of Performance Management?
When used appropriately, technology can facilitate the accomplishment of several performance management system goals and purposes. Aguinis (2007) identified the following six purposes of a performance management system: strategic, administrative, informational, developmental, organizational maintenance, and documentational.
