Consolidated financial statements are financial reports that show the financial results of a group of companies as if individual entities were a single economic entity. The group consists of a parent company and all its controlled entities. The parent is the enterprise that controls one or more enterprises. Each controlled company maintains its set of financial statements that are independent of the entity that owns the company itself.
