In the preceding chapters, we provided an overview of the Personal Benchmark solution and a detailed discussion of Brinker Capital's investment philosophy. We also offered advisors an easy-to-understand and easy-to-use explanation of Personal Benchmark.
In this chapter, advisors are provided with a practical illustration of the scalable system through which an advisor implements Personal Benchmark. Lastly, the benefits of this system to an advisor's practice are discussed.
Using Personal Benchmark
The Personal Benchmark solution is illustrated next through a case study. Chapter 1 introduced you to Jim Dodd, a hypothetical client. In this chapter, we discuss Jim in two scenarios:
- Scenario 1: Jim has $800,000 in assets in a single registration. His goals are to have current income and growth to create future purchasing power. Jim can accept some volatility or fluctuation in investment values.
