Think of this as a bonus chapter. I’ve included it in this book to give you a taste of how open-source projects and tools such as scikit-learn,1 XGBoost,2 and Prophet build on the work of pandas.

I promised in the introduction to this book that if you built a foundation in pandas, you would be well positioned to dive into machine learning. I want to attempt to deliver on that promise.
