Accept Responsibility for Results

ONE OF THE qualities of peak performers is that they accept 100 percent responsibility for their work. This is vitally important. This means “no excuses and no blaming.”

Never complain and never explain. If things don’t go well, accept responsibility for the situation and take action to change or improve it. The acceptance of personal responsibility is the mark of the leader. It is the turning point in a person’s life and career. It is the difference between childhood and maturity.
