The Two Steves
It was 1968, the early days of Silicon Valley. Tidy bungalows sat among the orange groves, burgeoning electronics firms, and defense contractors. Twenty-year-old Steve Wozniak, who lived with his parents in San Jose, rode his bike over to his buddy Bill Fernandez’s house to work together in the Fernandez garage where they’d been building electronic gadgets together for years. Fernandez, a senior from Homestead High School, invited a sophomore schoolmate, Steve Jobs, who lived nearby in Los Altos.
