Analysis of Anti-Tubercular Drugs

INTRODUCTION

These agents are mainly used for the treatment of tuberculosis. They mainly contain the amino group, based on the functional group, number of scientists proposed the different analytical methods.

CLASSIFICATION
  1. First-line agents.

    Examples: Isoniazid rifampicin, pyrazinamide, ethambutol, etc.

  2. Second-line agents.

    Examples: Capreomycin, streptomycin, clarithromycin, ciprofoxacin, ethionamide, p-amino salicylic acid etc.
