Analysis of Steroids
INTRODUCTION
Steroids are a class of chemical substances that are structurally related to one another and share the same chemical skeleton. The basic structure of steroids is the cyclopentano-perhydrophenanthrene ring.

The steroids which are from natural are originated from adrenal cortex, corpus luteum, ovaries, liver and testes, etc. These drugs can be synthesised.
These drugs are generally classified into following classes:
- Adrenocortical steroids.
