Putting the camera down forever.
Q: AT WHAT POINT DO YOU DECIDE TO PUT DOWN THE CAMERA AND WALK AWAY FROM IT—POTENTIALLY FOREVER? I’VE BEEN SHOOTING FOR ABOUT FIVE YEARS, AND I FEEL LIKE I’VE HIT A WALL, BOTH IN CREATIVITY AND IN BEING A SKILLED PHOTOGRAPHER. I’VE BEEN WATCHING YOUR VIDEOS RECENTLY AND FELT VERY INSPIRED, BUT WHEN I PICK UP MY CAMERA TO DO SOMETHING WITH THAT INSPIRATION I FIND MYSELF AT A LOSS FOR IDEAS. I CAN’T SEEM TO FIND LOCATIONS OR BANDS WILLING TO BE SHOT SINCE THEY ALL HAVE THEIR OWN PHOTOGRAPHERS. MORE AND MORE, I FIND MYSELF DISCOURAGED AND I’M STARTING TO WONDER IF MAYBE I’M JUST NOT CUT OUT FOR THIS PROFESSION NO MATTER HOW MUCH I LOVE IT.
