Realistic Neon

This technique (created by Felix Nelson) was featured on the July/August 2003 cover of Photoshop User magazine. Unlike some simple neon text effects done with Photoshop, this actually looks like real neon tubes. You know, if he really works hard, and applies himself, this Felix joker just might have a future in this business.

Quick Tip: Instant brush previews

If you're working with the Brushes palette, and you want a preview of what a particular brush stroke looks like without actually having to choose that brush, just pause your cursor over the brush thumbnail for just a moment, and its preview will appear in the Brush Preview area at the bottom of the Brushes palette. A big time saver.
